Event: 2023 Black History Month

Theme:  Notre année: Celebrating Black Francophones

When: February 24, 2023, from 11:00 to 1:00 pm

Location: Microsoft Teams videoconferencing

The purpose of this event is to spotlight and celebrate the success and achievements of Black Francophones and recognize their positive contributions in our society. This event will be in both English and French.

Line up of invited guest speakers:

  • The Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Co-Founder of Michaëlle Jean Foundation,  27th Governor General, Commander-in-Chief of Canada ( 2005-2010),  Unesco Special Envoy for Haiti (2010-2014) & 3rd Secretary General of La Francophonie (2014-2018)  
  • Myriam Jean-Baptiste, Owner and Co-Founder of LS Cream Liqueur
  • Tatiana Zinga Botao, Co-founder of Le Théâtre de La Sentinelle
  • Amikley Fontaine, President of the Sylvenie Lindor Foundation
